The wafer type butterfly valves are mainly applied to pipe lines which are used for fields like petroleum, chemistry, food, medicine, paper-making, hydropower Station ship building, water apply and discharge, energy resources, metallurgy and etc, This type of valves are used on pipe lines or containers for adjusting or stopping various corrosive or non-c corrosive air, liquid, semi liquid and solid power.

·Work principle
1. This product mainly consists of body, stem, taper pins, disc, seat bushings worm gear, etc. The rotation of worm gear structure makes stem and disc revolved, which ensures on-off operations and flow control.

2. The rotation of the handle wheel of worm gear ensures dependability and position disc control and position disc control and water flow control. Rotate handle wheel clockwise, the valve is close.

3. Flange connected dimensions conforms to standards (GB4216, DI N2501, BS4504, BS10-6, JISB2220, AS2129, ANSIB16.1 Buyers should specify standard in order.

1. The valve can be installed at anyplace of a pipeline.
2. The valve should be installed at a place easy for use, maintenance and replacement.
3. The valve can be installed without consideration of the direction of medium in pipeline. Medium is allowed to go in either direction.
4. The valve she kept dry in warehouse, leaving 4-5 degrees open.
5. Before the valve installed on pipeline, we should check following items carefully:
1) Check if working condition is conformed to the performance of the valve.
2) Clean inside of the valve and sealing surface. No dirt is allowed. Do not open or close the disc before cleaning.
3) The handles should be connected to top flange firmly. The handle screw should be firmly pressed to the stem.
6. The valve should be tightened on pipeline with even force properly.
7. After the valve is installed on pipeline, the disc must be set at on pipeline. When making press.
8. The valve should be checked periodically after it is installed on pipeline. You should check:
1) If the O ring of seat is damaged.
2) If the handle location is correct.
3) If scaling surface is good.
4) The valve should open or close freely.
5) Seal test must be made as per requirement.
6) All above in pen should be recorded for future tracing.

leaking from sealing surface

seat is scratched, there is stuck between seat and disc

replace seat Repair disc, Eliminate stuck

leaking from stem

hole on seat for stem is damaged, “O” ring is damaged

replace seat or “O” ring

leaking from connection between valve and pipeline flange

bolts are not tightened enough. Or some bolts tight and loose. Or seat is aged

Tighten bolt diagonally. Or replace seat
